Alphabet’s Verily Lands First Employer ForIts Back-To-Work Covid-19 Vetting System
Google’s sister companyVerily said it has landed its first employer client for its health screeningand analytics service designed to help companies and schools reopen during thepandemic.
The tech company Waymo,Alphabet’s self-driving car unit, Friday said it will use Verily’s “Healthy atWork,” which offers diagnostic testing for the Coronavirus strain Covid-19 toclear their employees to return to the workplace based on individual testresults as well as how prevalent the virus is in the community.
Verily, also an Alphabetcompany, announced inJune it was launching Healthy at Work by combining Verily’s“core data science and software capabilities, and Covid-19 testing expertisewith guidance from public health authorities” to provide testing, screening andrelated strategies for universities and employers to return to “shared spaces.”
